A Little Late

Since our lovely internet decided to go out on us, I haven't been able to post for quite some time. Of course that was never the only factor. I was lazy, preoccupied and didn't check to see if my laptop was also in the mix. But here I am again.

A lot has happened since last post. Christmas for one. We all got some new luggage, an XBox 360, and Rock Band 2. Oh, and not to forget the awesome Subway gift cards, my personal favorite. I also decided to go shopping with Tess the day after Christmas because her friend was there alone. Worst mistake ever. We parked out in bufu, had to run in the rain, and there were so many bodies in the mall, I was dying of heat. Black Friday wasn't this bad! Oh well. I did get a cute organic cotton tote from Macy's with a new wallet that matches my purse out of it. Oh, and the first and second season of Saved By The Bell for my best friend, Jackie, for Christmas. (Only $11, WHADDUP!)

Yesterday there was a small marathon of What Not to Wear on, and now I have made it a mission to one day eventually dress like Stacy from that show. I want tall boots, cute shirts, jackets and bracelets and big ol' purses. She is too gorgeous! One day...I'm telling you.

New Years is coming up and we'll be spending that down in Columbus with Matt, Ben, and Danny. It should be fun. Next year I want to do it in New York. That's another mission I'm on.

I'm also supposed to give a shout out to my Grandma Lou, who I found out also reads this!
Hey Grandma Lou!

Alright. Over and Out.

Speedy Recovery

I've learned to accept my haircut and roll with it. It's really no big deal. Full recovery. People at work really like it and I get compliments a lot. Some older people that I've never met do walk past and give the weirdest looks though. I'm hoping not to pass a doctor any time soon. People already see the lip ring and hair and slightly avoid me. I have been trying to perfect the faux hawk also, and I can pull it off pretty well, if I do say so myself. Hair is hair. It'll grow.

I'm starting to work 40 hours again. Whoot! My next paycheck should be amazing, especially with direct incentive with it. The other great thing about Winter Break? Jeopardy. We play at home out loud, and I cleared a category today and got every one right. WHADDUP! Most were guessing, but I was right...and it pretty much goes without saying that I won. Ahhh sweet victory. One day I will meet Alex Trebek! ONE DAY!

So I wrote this thing on Facebook where you have to say 16 random things you've learned about yourself. I was very rpoud of it, and since I have nothing else to write about, I'll let you guys see it too. Enjoy.

1. I'm slowly learning to accept myself for who I am and what I can and can't do.

2. If there's something in life that you want, get it. There's no better time than now.

3. I am the most impatient person I know.

4. I'll always want to be a race car driver or actress.

5. I'm smarter when I don't give a damn.

6. I am truly a kid at heart.

7. I get insanely awkward around guys and tend to ramble or laugh really loud.

8. I believe in true love.

9. I hate politics with an undying passion, and I'd rather not be involved.

10. I am slowly building my own book collection, and want my own library when I get old.

11. I usually like to observe things rather than be involved.

12. I bite the left side of my lip when I'm thinking.

13. I want to write something profound one day.

14. I am a dork and nerd. Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are some of my favs.

15. My blood pressure can be raised easily.

16. One day I'll look back and laugh...and it'll be ok.

Big Girls Don't Cry

I got another haircut. It was supposed to look like Natalie Portman's pixie haircut, but I just look straight-up like a guy. After I came back from Great Clips, I wanted to cry. I swear, I will never get a haircut again. I'm so disappointed that I didn't just get a trim. Now I have to wait at least 2 months until it grows out so I can do something cute with it. I can't even use BOBBY PINS. Ugh. How stupid. Plus, the chick who cut it didn't listen to anything I was saying. I wanted it to look like the picture, only LONGER. I clearly said LONGER. But no, she didn't listen. I wanted to deck her right there. Whatever, can't go back now. I guess I'll be getting more use out of my hat than expected.

My Ethics final was Thursday. None of us knew what to expect, and all we were told was to follow the study guide and we'd be good. To my lovely surprise, the test was exactly the study guide. I wanted to cry I was so happy! I was literally out of there in 20 minutes flat. Whaddup! Now I have my Stats final tomorrow (which I'll probably bomb), and then my Developmental Psych final Tuesday. That one shouldn't be too bad.

Watched three good movies in the past week.
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (8 nods), Ms. Pettigrew Lives for a Day (7.5 nods), and The Dream Team (6.5 nods). The were all really good! I watched Chronicles twice, once alone and once again with the siblings. Ya, the older brother is totally hot, to answer your questions of motivation. Ms. Pettigrew was absolutely adorable, especially because the guy from Pushing Daisies was in it, and finally the crack me up! (Four mental patients escape and have to prove that their doctor is trying to be killed.) I actually rented Dream TeamChronicles and Pettigrew, and turned Chronicles in a day late, but there was no late fee. Another whaddup to that!

Off to watch more Animal Planet with Megan. What else would we be watching when she has the remote?

My head/face is too round for this haircut. Ugh.
